Ah tiong stayed in an old 3-room flat in Jalan Bukit Merah with his mother.

When his mother was still around, he had never encountered any of these "sightings", even during his NS time, he had never once seen any ghost.

One evening Ah Tiong went home after work and when he entered the house, he saw his mother sitting on the sofa watching TV, as usual.

"Ma, today we eat Chicken rice hor." He raised the 2 packets of Chicken rice and showed them to her.

His mother looked at him and said, "Tiong ah, I have kept 3 thousand dollars in the biscuit tin above the refrigerator in the kitchen and also my jewelry in a brown box which is hidden under my pile of undies in the 2nd drawers of my cupboard."

"Ma, why are you telling me all these? You keep your money and jewelry properly ok?" Ah Tiong was puzzled by her unusual remarks but he just ignored it.

When he was walking towards the kitchen to put the 2 packets of Chicken rice, Ah Tiong walked passed his mother's Bedroom.

The door to her Bedroom was ajar and through the corner of his eyes, he caught someone lying on his mother's bed as he walked pass it.

"Who's sleeping in Ma's room?"

Ah Tiong knocked on the bedroom door and walked into the Bedroom and got the biggest shock of his whole life!!!

His saw his mother lying on the bed, eyes closed, sleeping peacefully.

He turned around and rushed out of the Bedroom to the Sitting room where he saw his mother sitting on the sofa watching TV just seconds ago.

His mother was not there anymore and the TV set was not even switched on.

With his heart pounding vigorously, Ah Tiong walked into her mother's Bedroom again.

His mother was not sleeping, she had died since the morning after Ah Tiong left for work.

Ah Tiong was shocked but what puzzled him most was that he found his mother's 3 thousand dollars and the jewelry at the exact places whereby his mother told him or was it his mother's spirit who told him...
