a little knowledge is dangerous thing, I think they just skim the surface and twist the entire concept into a test of selfishness.
and i think they didn't proved anything about selfishness, those big corps got image/brand to protect, so offering a little help to "helpless" is no biggie.
like the story about "the boy who cried wolf", more n more case like this will surely affect trust amongst societies.

Very interesting experiment and it shows most of us are always too fast to judge a book by its cover. Before we ask, we already tell ourselves no one will help us ... there's always a charitable side to everyone.
