After my last post, these are another few posts which lim peh like:

Only when lim peh read Slurp's posts, do I know that a person can pen his views on issues that are just so plain in our eyes into a written piece of work. Whether a topic is complex or simple, Slurp is able to post it in an extremely well-written blog. Example is this post about breakfast eggs and yes this guy sure can take nice photos:

Bobo is a PYT (pretty young thing) and she sure writes nice post. This is one special post lim peh like very much and it is so lucky to be her partner cos she will go all the way just to buy a shirt for him:

Ooops!! They Did It Again!!

Further to my previous ranting on my 2 copy cats neighbours, lim peh have more ranting again.

Lim peh was angry because all your efforts and ideas you put in to design your house were copied and taken deliberately by some neighbours.

If they copied our ideas and stayed somewhere far away from us (like say another GRC area), think lim peh will not be so tulan but we are neighbours and along a short stretch of lane, you have 2 to 3 units of houses which look identical to one another.

What is worse than having 2 copy cats neighbours who renovated their houses with designs stolen from you?

HAVING ONE MORE COPY CAT NEIGHBOUR STEALING YOUR IDEAS / DESIGNS AGAIN!! TILL!!!!

Mr Pang, my neighbour 2 units away, who had been staying in our neighbourhood for more than 30 years, sold his house and moved out last week.

When lim peh came home from work, my maid told me that there were some men standing outside our gate looking into our house that afternoon.

Lim peh was concerned cos lim peh worry that maybe some men were trying to do something funny while lim peh is out working.

After talking to my maid, lim peh realised that it was the new owner who bought the house from Mr Pang who was standing outside our gate staring / looking / seeing / eyeing / bio-ing at the design of our house.

He even summoned his designer and contractors together and stood outside discussing loudly at the designs of lim peh's house.

Really nabeh!! @#$%&!@!!! Till!!

I really don't know what is in the mind of these morons? If lim peh have a house, I will definitely want to design my house in such a manner that it will not look anything similar to my neighbour's house.

Why on Earth would lim peh want my house to look like others? If lim peh want so, lim peh may as well go and buy clustered houses, everything designed and ready for you to move in.

Guess maybe lim peh should really re-design my house again so that it will not look identical with my neighbours or lim peh should just move out? But then hor, you can run but you can't hide, there will be copy cats around no matter where you go.

On the other hand, can lim peh sue the copy cats neighbours for infringement of our design? I guess not la.

What can lim peh do except to rant here in my blog.

Note: lim peh may be wrong and my new neighbour may not be copying our ideas but time will tell. lim peh shall sit back and wait and see after the renovation of the new house is done.

Flowers

Last time lim peh used to buy flowers for my cha-bo-lang, at least twice a year. Once on her birthday and once on Valentine day.

Don't know since when, lim peh stop buying flowers for her on Valentine day liao.

Guess all men are sama sama one la, courting time si mi also can, "court-ed" liao, si mi also no need liao.

Me bad, me know.

Went kai-kai with my cha-bo-lang last weekend and then somehow drive here drive there, drive into the Far East Florists off Thomson Road.

We went there by chance and turned out we had quite a good deal for the cheap price we paid for the beautiful flowers which are now sitting beautifully in our hall.

The flowers are really nice so if the photos do not look so, it is because of my lousy photo-shooting skill.

Guess how much does each cost?

There are total 15 stalks (5 big stalks and 10 smaller stalks) of Ginger flowers and 19 stalks of Roses.

We paid $9.00 for the 10 stalks of smaller Ginger flowers, $8.50 for the 5 stalks of bigger Ginger flowers and $7.01 for the 19 stalks of Roses.

$17.50 for 15 stalks of Ginger flowers and $7.01 for 19 stalks of roses!!

Super cheap hor?

*( I think market price for 1 stalk of Ginger flower is about $2.50 and 1 stalk of rose is about $1.00)

我常想，如果大多数人的看法一致，就单单另一个人的看法与众不同，是不是那落单的人是错的，因为其他的人的看法、想法都一致。。。一致的错。


有没有这种经历：在工作上，每个同事因为老板的一些看法，都盲目地附和、赞同，更不要脸的甚至大声歌颂、扛balls 擦鞋，虽然每个人都知道老板的看法是错误的。


如果你刚好就是一个不能随众盲目附和、无法因五斗米而折腰，（虽然最近的米价涨高非凡），那你肯定无法在这间公司呆下去。


很多事情不是因为大家都这么觉得，所以就是对的。


有没有可能大家都错了，就你单一是对的？


大道理，俺不会讲，就举以下两个例子：


“模样” 的正确读法？
“mo yang” 是错误的。


正确读法是
“mu yang”


再来一个很多人会以为自己是没念错的字词，因为电视上，甚至电台上都这么念：
“独乐乐不如众乐乐”


哈，这个太容易了，不就是
“du le le bu ru zhong le le”


正确读法是
“du yue le bu ru zhong yue le”


去问一问你四周围的朋友怎么念吧，95% 以上的人都不知正确的念法。
