Angry Old Beng

lim peh ka li kong

One Saturday morning, lim peh woke up late (no work on Saturday, very shiok ah) and went to a coffee shop in my neighbourhood to 打包 炒米粉面 packet fried beehoon-mee for breakfast.

When I reached the coffee shop, there was already a long queue at the stall. Counting the numbers of heads in front of me, I was the number 6th customer and standing in front of me was an Auntie with a head of red-hair.

While waiting for my turn, the queue behind me got longer by the seconds and when I turned around to look at the long queue, I saw about another 8-10 people behind me.

The red-hair Auntie queuing in front of me turned her head to the long queue behind me and saw a man queuing 4-person away from me and said, "Ah Lim, come come, what you want to but, I buy for you la, I in front faster."

I turned around and stared at that man whom the Auntie was talking to.

The man queuing behind us declined the Auntie´s offer and said, "Neh mind la, I can queue up myself."

The Auntie refused to accept "No" for an answer and further offered her help, "Come la, don´t shy, I buy faster, what you want?"

The man accepted her kind offer and told the Auntie to packet Nasi Lemak for him.

Although me was staring at the Auntie, she seemed not to notice my dagger stare and continued to queue up as if nothing happened.

In my mind I was thinking, why these people like that huh? Cannot see that all of us were also queuing up meh?

Then that red-hair Auntie turned around again and called out to another man queuing at the end of the line, "Mr Tan, you also want to buy beehoon mee is it, come come, tell me what you want, I buy for you."

Lim peh turned around to look at that Mr Tan and discovered that he was a man about my age.

Mr Tan immediately declined her offer by saying, "It´s ok, I will line up myself. Thanks"

The Auntie like really cannot take "No" as an answer continued to say, "come la, no need to be shy one la, if not you have to wait very long."

That´s it!

One person cut queue still not enough now offering another one. Guess if me kept quiet, there might be the 3rd, 4th and Xth ones down the road.

Lim peh looked at the Auntie and said, "Hello, why are you buying for others? Can´t you see that there are many of us queuing up too? Why not you buy for everyone behind me? It´s not fair to the people queuing up, right?"

The Auntie was stunned and said, "He is my friend."

"So what if he is your friend? If the person is your child, I won´t mind."

I think that Auntie was really stunned that someone dare to actually interfere into her business of offering to buy thus kept quiet after that or maybe my black face really very fierce.

What surprised me was that of all the people queuing behind me, none said anything. They just kept quiet and watched the free show, dare not even breathe too loud.

Come on, if the person you are offering to help is an elderly, a pregnant lady or a handicap person, I won´t mind to let them cut the queue but those 2 were healthy men.

Even now when me think about the incident, me still angry.

Guess at times, Singaporeans are just too timid and submissive and dare not even voice out their unpleasantness even if unfairness is done to them.

Will you voice out like lim peh or will you just keep mum cos "it´s none of my business"?

PS: Now that I think back, I was rather surprised at my harsh word towards the Auntie, maybe there and then, a hungry man was an angry man.

Unbelievable!!!

lim peh ka li kong

On Saturday, me and my cha-bo-lang went to Funan Centre to walk walk see see. we encountered the following incident whereby me find it very amusing.

As we were eating some French Roti and drinking some soup, we heard someone calling out:-

"Excuse me...."

Me stopped drinking the nice soup and looked at the direction of the sound and saw a fat Chinese man probably around the age of early 20s talking to me.

"Excuse me, can you give me $2?"

I looked at him : he had long curly hair, wore a round-neck T-shirt and a 3/4 long pants carrying a nice haversack.

Judging at what I saw, he was not in any form of handicap and he can actually speak English.

Although many a times, me do not mind helping the elderly or handicaps by giving them some money, I did not think that man deserve any money from me at all.

I looked at him and shook my head and continued to drink my soup.

"Excuse me."

I looked at him one more time and he said the same thing again probably thinking that me did not hear what he asked for, "Can you you give me $2?"

I looked at him and once again shook my head.

"I am very hungry..." The man looked at me and pleaded.

I looked at him and shook my head for the thrid time.

The man looked at me and said:"Please...."

I shook my head for the last time and ignored him and continued to drink my soup.

The man seeing that there was no way I was going to give him the $2 he pleaded for, said something and walked away.

That word that came out from his mouth was "Idiot."

We were very shock to hear him sprouting such word and after saying that insulting word, the fat man walked away and approached an Indian couple. Though me could not hear their conversation but the Indian man after hearing what the fat man had to say, pull out his wallet and gave him $2.

After collecting $2 from the Indian man, the fat man approached another 3 men but no money was given to him.

I was thinking to myself : That fat man was really lucky cos if he were to sprout such insulting word to me 10 years ago, me would have insulted him back with the following words "You filthy lazy fatso moron beggar asking for money and insulting people who didn't give in to your begging., @$%#&@....."

If he were to meet me and gave me such insulting word 20 years ago, me will defintely "sayang" his face with my punches. Yeah me bad.

What has become to our current world? Healthy man going around asking for money? There's never free lunch in this society and the most incredible part is throwing insulting words at people refusing to give him money, piangz!

Ranting In My Blog For The FIRST Time!!!

(Contents not suitable for the young ones)

KNNBCCB!!!!!! FXXKING HELL!!!!!

ROOOOOOOAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!

I have never met such idiotic arsehole FXXKING BXSTARD person in my whole life. I declare I am a complete blind man for treating her so well all this while, to the extend of covering her mistakes for her.

This type of CCB LJ person, just my luck to have crossed path with her, TILL NIA SING!!! KAOZ!! PHUI!!!!!

There's this receptionist clerk cum secretary who was with our employment for the past 10 over years. Last year when I joined the company, my boss told me that she is not competence thus half of her work load will be passed on to me.

Her contract with us expired this month and my boss was kind enough and release her 2 days prior to month end out of good will.

As she had been with us for so long, we trusted her completely and guess what?

1) She KNN threw all the hardcopies HR files and CFP files and dont know what other files away behind our back.

2) She deleted all the soft copies of our template for salaries, leave, etc.

3) She even changed the password to the common computer programmes without our knowledge.

4) She was so Gian-Png until on her last day with us, she took folders, staples, key-chains, stationeries back with her without telling us.

As we couldn´t log into the computer, we tried calling her mobile but she refused to answer our calls, so bo-pian we sms her asking her to call us back. She immediately sms back asking for what purpose for her to call us back since she had left us.

When we saw her sms, we called her mobile immediately but again she KNN let the phone rang until it was disconnected. Wa-kaoz!

After that, no matter how many more times we called her or sms her, she did not reply at all.

We gave her her salary on the 25th and not on the last day yet we got all these shit from her.

What kind of woman does such things?

No one to blame, just blame myself for being stuuuuupid to treat her so well, to trust her so much.

I learned my lesson well now, I learn my mistake.

KNN!!!!!!!! ROOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Count-Down by No Eye See See

lim peh ka li kong

Me read this latest blog written by no eye see see on his encounter at Orchard Road on New Year Eve and my mind was still fresh with the news I saw on TV yesterday about the same incident. The only difference is that TV news did not show much of the behaviours of the foreign workers but no eye see see put everything he came across in words and presented it to us raw, real raw.

As much as I don't encourage violence, I asked myself what I would have done if I were there? Think I would definitely join-force with no eye see see and gave those jerks a taste of my eagle and tiger punches. RRRRRRRROOOOAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

As usual, his blog is vulgar but think I would also use such language if I were there too.

Think this year end count down, Orchard Road will only have Males.

Read his blog here.

Old Beng Felt Ashame

lim peh ka li kong,

Not so long ago, me and my cha-bor-lang (wife) went to attend a seminar cum presentation talk by a Japanese professor in Suntec City.

Wah-piang, all the people there all wear high high class one, except me old beng in cheapo T-shirt BUT I tell you all ah, I never felt more ashame then.

When the Jap Professor kong finish his speech, there was a Q&A session open to the floor.

Then hor, while some pple were asking the professor some questions, other people started to leave and walked out of the hall like nobody´s business.

Worst, lim peh saw even the organisor own staffs (I know they are own staff bcos they all wear the organisor shirt and were ushering people in the beginning of the talk) also walk out in groups.

I think got at least 100 people walked out in the midst of the seminar without any respect at all.

Lim peh felt like strangling those high class dressing people but too many of them leh.

Some HongKongers sitting behind old beng commented loudly (LOOK AT THESE SINGAPOREANS, SO BLOODY RUDE!!)

At that moment, I felt shameful to be a Singaporean. :(

Dont scold me bcos I say I feel ashame to be a Singaporean, lim peh stay here since birth for 40 years liao, so dont tell me I dont like my country hor.

It´s just that, at that moment, I really felt ashame...

Oei! Please Line Up Yourself Hor

lim peh ka li kong

Got one Monday when Singapore Toto lottery price rolled up to 2.8 million, me went to queue up to buy toto hoping that I will strike the group one price and can then go upgrade myself to study high high and can write better English.

When I reached the booth, I saw many people queueing up to buy the toto and I was standing behind a decent small built young man at the end of about 20 over people. In front of him was an office lady with beautiful make-up and thick lips like Angelina Jolie (So sexy).

Wa-piang, so many people want to be millionaire like me.

Half way through, an aunty (her figure like wrestler) walked to the Angelina-lookalike and asked her buy toto for her. Then another man in long-sleeve shirt and tie also walked to the Angelina-lookalike and also requested her to buy toto for him.

As if, not enough people like that, 2 more ladies also walked up to that Angie-lookalike to ask her to buy toto for them also and all those people (wrestler aunty, man in tie and 2 ladies plus Angelina-lookalike) all stand in the queue and thus making me behind another 4 more persons.

The young man in front of me cannot tahan (tolerate) any longer and he told Angelina-lookalike not to buy toto for those inconsiderate people and that they should queue up like everyone else.

I tell you ah, I salute this small size young man cos the aunty alone was much bigger size than him.

That Angelina-lookalike rolled her eyes up and told the young man (in an American accent slang) to mind his own business. Before the young man could say anything, the man in tie and the other 2 ladies also joined in to scold the young man.

I tell you all, I see already also cannot tahan bcos it is very unfair to jump queue and then still got the cheek to scold the young man. (somemore 5 against 1).

So I stepped forward and placed my hand on the young man´s shoulder and told those suckers that the young man is my buddy brother and they better go queue up behind. As I was wearing a sleeveless T-shirt, they were able to see the picture tattooed on my arm jumped when I flexed my muscle in front of them.

I think they all very scared of the tiger on my arm and they quickly moved their butts to the end of the line and queue up quietly.

When I finished buying my toto and walked pass those 5 suckers, they all pretended not to see me and kept their heads down.

Oei, uncles and aunties, pls you all queue up and buy your own toto or 4D hor, if not my tiger will leap on you.

Old Beng Went To Library

lim peh ka li kong

Last Saturday, my char-bo-lang (wife) pulled me to the library bcos she said she want to read some magazines at the same time used the toilet and enjoy some free air-con.

Wa-piang, Saturday call me go read books? then my bay-piao how? She doesnt know old beng always got buy 4D want meh, still bring me to see so many shu?

Reluctantly, I followed her lor, if not later other guys see her chio chio then tackle her, how? Must follow her then flex my muscle to scare pple away from her, ha ha.

Anyway, when I reached the Jurong East Library, I never know nowadays library so high class one ah. Somemore got a cafe inside, in my old mind library has always been a quiet place and cannot eat or drink, now?

While I was KLKK browsing the books I saw many parents bring their children to the library together and I think, good man, train the children to start reading since young.

Then, I saw many children running around, shouting loudly and some even playing. (play yo-yo la, catching la, hide and seek la, etc etc) The worst is that their parents also kept quiet and did not even tell their children not to play/shout/run in the library.

Until some students buay tahan already complained to the librarian and after the librarian approached the children's parent to refrain their children from making so much noise.

Only then the parent asked their children to behave themselves but only for a short span of time before the children started to misbehaved again.

I think only after I stared at them fiercely, the children then keep quiet and behave properly. (I think the parents saw the ang-kong (tattoo)on my arm so very scared, told their children not to make me angry)

What is wrong with these people? Library is a place for reading and should keep quiet ma, but I realised many people talking loudly among themselves and some even used their handphone like nobody's business.
